March 13, 2006 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that partner Denyse Sabagh, head of the firm's Immigration Practice Group in its Washington, D.C. office, has been honored by a listing in Chambers Global, 2006 edition. Duane Morris was also ranked as a top firm in the "Business Immigration" category. A survey of the legal profession worldwide, Chambers Global's results are based on strong recommendations from clients collected through extensive independent research.

In the recently published directory, Chambers' sources reported that Denyse "represents corporations with the passion of someone who cares intensely about the individuals. This makes her an incredibly effective advocate and is her number-one strength on a national level." Chambers also noted the strength of Duane Morris' immigration practice, saying that "Outbound work is a growing niche with the immigration group benefiting from the support of the firm's London office and an international network of affiliate professionals and organizations. Litigation is a further string to Duane Morris' bow, and the group deals with deportation defense and waiver cases in substantial numbers."

The 2006 edition of Chambers Global, published by Chambers & Partners Legal Publishers of London, is the foremost annual survey of the world's leading business lawyers. Chambers USA, 2006 edition, which narrows the survey's scope to the United States, is due to be published in May.

Denyse focuses her practice in the areas of immigration and nationality law and litigation. She has represented both individuals and corporations in various matters, including the management of inbound and outbound immigration, the development of strategic immigration programs and policies and political strategies. In addition to her business-related immigration work, she counsels clients on complex immigration matters, family, deportation, and post-9/11 matters. She has served as national president, general counsel and is currently a member on the Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Denyse has also served on the Coordinating Committee on Immigration Law of the American Bar Association, and is currently on the Board of Directors of the American Civil Liberties Union National Capital Area Chapter and is President of the Board of the National MultiCultural Institute. Admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia, she is a member of the District of Columbia, Virginia State, Arlington County, and Fairfax County bar associations. She also speaks regularly at conferences and seminars on civil liberties, and immigration matters, and has published articles relating to these issues. She frequently appears in the national and international media as an expert on immigration matters.

Prior to earning her J.D. in 1977 from George Mason University School of Law, Denyse graduated with a B.A. in 1970 from the University of Maryland.
