SAN FRANCISCO, June 14, 2006 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Ron Oliner has joined the firm as a partner in its San Francisco office. Formerly chair of the Insolvency Group at the San Francisco office of Buchalter Nemer, he joins the firm's Business Reorganization and Financial Restructuring Practice Group.
Ron focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts, creditors' rights, and trustee and receivership representation. He represents a wide array of clients, including secured and unsecured lenders in chapter 11 bankruptcies, bankruptcy trustees, financial institutions, creditors' committees, and equity and rent receivers. Ron was the 2005 chair of the San Francisco Bar Association's Commercial Law and Bankruptcy section. He is also a past president of the Bay Area chapter of the California Receivers Forum, is the Bay Area editor for the Receivership News, and is an officer and board member of the statewide chapter of the California Receivers Forum. In addition, he serves as a chapter 11 trustee in the Northern District of California's Bankruptcy Court, San Francisco division. He has also served as an appointed examiner and mediator, and is a qualified expert witness on substantive bankruptcy law. He lectures frequently on these and other bankruptcy-related issues.
