Charlene S. Seibert

Charlene S. Seibert is a Conflicts and Business Intake Compliance Counsel in the Office of General Counsel in Pittsburgh. Ms. Seibert’s work focuses on ethical standards relating to firm policies and procedures, identifying and resolving conflicts of interest and ensuring adherence to the rules of professional conduct. Ms. Seibert is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Professional Liability Committee, where she frequently addresses prominent lawyer liability and insurance issues, and presently serves as a Hearing Committee Member on behalf of the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board.

Prior to joining Duane Morris, for sixteen years, Ms. Seibert was a litigator with a large regional law firm where she dedicated her practice to the defense of attorneys and other professionals. In that capacity, Ms. Seibert defended lawyers in legal malpractice actions covering a wide range of practice areas, and further served in a claims avoidance capacity, including navigating through conflicts of interest that may arise through the course of a lawyer’s representation and undertaking mitigation efforts to salvage underlying litigation or otherwise reduce potential damages. Also, Ms. Seibert previously represented lawyers in responding to disciplinary complaints made against them with the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board.

Ms. Seibert is a 2002 graduate of John Carroll University (B.A. Political Science, magna cum laude), and a 2006 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif.  She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
