Gregory Smith, CPA, MST has more than a decade of experience in the areas of federal, state and local income taxation for a diverse client base with particular emphasis on tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, private foundations and trusts. He also devotes his practice to financial statement preparation and custom accounting for various businesses in multiple industries.
Additionally, Mr. Smith co-chairs TAG’s Tax Reform Task Force, which is charged with monitoring new tax laws across many tax types and advising clients accordingly, co-chairs TAG University, which is charged with planning, designing and presenting continuing education programs to members of TAG, and is Development Manager of TAG’s innovative and strategic Next-Gen Committee, which focuses on growing and enhancing the talents, skills, performance, and career paths of our next generation of accountants and CPAs.
He is a contributing author to the Tax Accounting Group's Client Alerts and other tax and financial publications designed specifically for our clients. Mr. Smith is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He is an active member of the Schools and Colleges Thought Leadership State-Wide Committee for the PICPA, designed to promote the CPA profession to the next generation of accountants. A graduate of La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, he holds a Masters degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
