U.S. Trade Representative Grants Duty Exclusions for Chinese Products

In a December 28, 2018, Federal Register notice, the United States Trade Representative announced that after considering various submissions seeking exclusions from imposition of certain additional duties imposed on products of China, it has granted exclusions as more particularly set forth in the annex to the above notice. 

The product exclusions announced by the U.S. Trade Representative in the notice will apply as of the July 6, 2018, effective date of the $34 billion action, and will extend for one year after December 28, 2018, the date of publication of the exclusion notice in the Federal Register. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will issue instructions on entry guidance and implementation.
