Bradshaw Hawkins practices in the area of corporate law and is a member of Duane Morris’ Private Equity Industry Group. Mr. Hawkins represents public and private companies, independent sponsors, private equity funds, portfolio companies, family offices, registered investment advisers, franchisors, franchisees and investors.

Mr. Hawkins previously served as in-house counsel at a private equity firm and a publicly traded manufacturing company. Tapping into his background in finance at Goldman Sachs and his experience as an investor in the hospitality sector, he guides clients through mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other strategic partnerships, and corporate governance matters, with a particular focus on lower and middle-market M&A, search funds, and entrepreneurship through acquisition. He also advises on financings, direct and co-investments, and post-closing portfolio operations, as well as formation, compliance, and transactions.

Mr. Hawkins has experience across a wide range of industries, including financial services, energy, hospitality, data centers, utilities, sports, gaming, real estate, manufacturing, technology, consumer products, software, healthcare, and franchised businesses, both in the U.S. and internationally.

Mr. Hawkins graduated from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, received an M.B.A. from Yale University and holds an M.A. with honors from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in 2025 for leveraged buyouts and private equity law.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a publicly traded Texas-based industrials company in numerous private equity transactions, including the sales of (1) a nuclear engineering subsidiary to a portfolio company of large, mid-market private equity sponsor and (2) a non-core business line to a private equity sponsor, and the acquisitions of (1) a metal coating business from a family office and (2) a leading industrial galvanizer in Tennessee.

  • Represented a publicly traded Texas-based industrials company in its acquisition of a distressed electrical services companies out of a court-mandated bankruptcy sale and in a joint venture with a Saudi electrical manufacturer to produce large-scale electrical products across the Middle East.

  • Represented a Dallas-based independent sponsor in its acquisition of a majority interest in a hospitality company from a large Canadian benevolent fund and in its acquisition and development of a large-scale hospitality property in Ireland and luxury hospitality property and tourism business in Scotland.

  • Represented a Dallas-based private equity sponsor on a joint venture to acquire and develop a distressed hospitality asset in Aspen, Colorado.

  • Represented a middle market private equity sponsor in the disposition of a portfolio company in the logistics industry to a strategic purchaser.

  • Represented a California-based electrical services provided on a corporate reorganization, credit facility, and acquisition of a strategic business in Florida.

  • Represented a Dallas-based hedge fund on a take-private transaction of company in the financial services industry.
