Daniel Doft is a trial lawyer with considerable experience. He has obtained numerous successful verdicts while acting as lead counsel or first-chair. Mr. Doft’s practice is nationwide, representing clients in federal courts, state courts, and arbitrations across the United States.
Mr. Doft has extensive experience in complex business litigation, where he represents a diverse group of clients, ranging from individuals and small businesses to multinational corporations and government entities. His experience spans a wide variety of legal issues, including antitrust, securities fraud, corporate governance, employment discrimination, business torts, trade secrets, unfair competition, intellectual property, contracts, and admiralty/maritime law. As a member of the firm’s Gaming Industry Group, Mr. Doft has extensive experience representing gaming and digital entertainment clients in class action lawsuits throughout the United States.
Mr. Doft regularly devotes time to pro bono matters. He won a years-long court battle to secure asylum for a Cameroonian torture victim, who has since been reunited with his family.
Mr. Doft was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2024 Best Lawyers in America guide in the “Ones to Watch” categories for commercial litigation and corporate governance and compliance law.
Mr. Doft is a 2017 cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was articles editor of the San Diego Law Review, and a cum laude graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara.
