Kirk Williams McLeod is an associate in the firm's Trial Practice Group. He specializes in antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters. Kirk has significant experience supporting clients in litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters involving a range of industries, including private equity, technology, biotechnology, real estate, sports and entertainment, artificial intelligence, and health insurance. He has also advised clients on artificial intelligence’s impact on banking, insurance, and marketing, and maintains a robust pro bono practice in which he has supported clients in immigration proceedings, Family Court, New York Supreme Court, and Federal Court. 

Kirk earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he served as Articles Editor of the Columbia Journal of Race and Law. At Columbia, he completed an Honors Internship at the Federal Trade Commission in Mergers II, participated in consecutive externships at the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General, and presented his original research on competition theory and constitutional history at both institutions. Prior to his legal education, Kirk pursued a doctoral degree at Harvard University where he researched the history of antitrust enforcement for his dissertation, received an M.A. with high honors, and was selected as a Weatherhead Scholar and Dumbarton Oaks Fellow. He also earned an M.A. with distinction from King’s College London, culminating in the completion of a dissertation on Angolophone constitutional history and legal theory. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in history and Francophone studies from SUNY New Paltz, and served as a member of the university’s Judicial Hearing Committee.
