Wednesday, November 11, 2025 | Using C-PACE as a Financing Mechanism

About the Program

Sustainability is the new reality for businesses looking for long-term viability. Issues such as energy efficiency, managing climate impact, supply chain improvements and utilization of renewable resources have to be navigated for risk management and investor confidence. Investments in real estate and development are now being evaluated for sustainability by various players in the capital markets. Companies that can adapt and take full advantage of the methods needed to achieve lower greenhouse gas impacts and sustainability will continue to drive innovation and reap the rewards. Facilitating a portion of this trend is C-PACE, or commercial property assessed clean energy, which offers fixed-rate private capital financing for projects that meet eligibility requirements for energy efficiency and installation in the built environment. While not yet available in every state, the C-PACE program is seeing increased popularity, and its reach and impact are expected to continue to grow. We will discuss where the best results are occurring and what the marketplace can expect going forward.
