About the Program
Cryptocurrency and digital assets have become increasingly prevalent in commercial disputes, fraud investigations, family law proceedings, and insolvency matters in Singapore.
The Singapore courts have progressively recognised cryptocurrency as a species of property capable of giving rise to proprietary rights and being held on trust. As cryptoassets feature more prominently in litigation, practitioners face two critical challenges: first, how to trace the movement of digital assets across the blockchain; and second, how to ascertain the value of inherently volatile cryptoassets for the purposes of legal proceedings.
This seminar brings together legal practitioners and forensic investigation specialists to provide a comprehensive and accessible introduction to cryptocurrency tracing and the legal framework governing digital assets in Singapore. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to Chainalysis, the industry-leading blockchain analytics platform used by law enforcement agencies, regulators, exchanges, and financial institutions.
