The Montgomery County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is set to honor Duane Morris attorney Jonathan A. Segal with the MCSPCA Excellence in Service award on Oct. 4.
The award is given to a volunteer, board member or staff member that has shown outstanding commitment in the group's mission to provide shelter for unwanted, lost or abused animals.
Segal is a partner at Duane Morris' employment, labor, benefits and immigration practice group.

[Segal has been volunteering with the MCSPCA for more than 10 years and has been on the board of directors since 2013. He has dedicated countless hours at shelters in Conshohocken, Perkiomenville and Abington to help pets, particularly older and lost cats find their forever homes.
When told of the honor, Segal responded: “We cannot save every animal but we save the world for every animal that we save. Working with MCSPCA has been one of the most rewarding investments of my life--the Board, the staff and, of course, the precious animals who are just waiting for you!”]
