Duane Morris Again Named One of the "50 Best Law Firms for Women"
August 6, 2013
PHILADELPHIA, August 6, 2013—Duane Morris is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the 2013 Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers "50 Best Law Firms for Women," based on its family-friendly policies and business development initiatives that retain women and advance them into the leadership pipeline. Duane Morris is featured in the August/September issue of the magazine, and on workingmother.com and flextime lawyers.com.
The Working Mother list celebrates the law firms that are most successful in retaining and promoting women lawyers. This year, Working Mother measured firms on factors, including: representation; flexibility; child care; leadership, compensation, development and advancement of women; as well as time off policies. Duane Morris was named on the first list of Best Law Firms for Women in 2007 and was named again in 2012.
"We are honored once again that Working Mother has selected Duane Morris as a top firm for women," said Sharon Caffrey, a partner in Duane Morris' Trial Practice and the head of Duane Morris' Women's Initiative. "Being recognized as a women-friendly workplace is a testament to our culture of advancing women at the firm, and connects us to a growing movement to support women lawyers to succeed in their careers."
The Duane Morris Women's Initiative is a formal group at the firm that seeks to foster the development, advancement and retention of women lawyers and to make Duane Morris a leader among law firms in women's professional development. As part of the group's programming efforts, the Women's Initiative has created a number of opportunities for leadership and practice development training, with the goal of assisting its women lawyers in becoming dynamic, successful professionals.
