NEW YORK, March 4, 2024―Duane Morris associate M. Alejandra Vargas has been named a “Top Lawyer Under 40” by the Hispanic National Bar Association. The award celebrates and highlights the accomplishments and contributions of HNBA members who have distinguished themselves in the legal profession. It honors lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community and dedication to improving the legal profession. HNBA members from all segments of the profession (including private practice, government, public interest, academia and corporate legal departments) are eligible for the award.

Honorees will be recognized during the 2024 HNBA/VIA Corporate Counsel Conference in Seattle, Washington, taking place March 20-22, 2024. 

Vargas concentrates her practice in the area of immigration law. She represents companies in a wide variety of industries seeking to employ foreign nationals in the United States on a temporary or permanent basis. She also assists individuals and families in connection with nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters as well as naturalization. Vargas is a volunteer attorney in the firm's pro bono program. She is the co-chair of the firm’s Associates Committee and a member of the Hispanic/Latino Employee Resource Group and the Marketing Committee of the New York office.
