Ray Smyth

LONDON, November 2, 2015—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has assisted European private capital group Metric Capital Partners (“MCP” or “Metric”) in its second investment in Spain, with wine and foods company The Haciendas Company as it made three divestments. The Duane Morris team included corporate partner Ray Smyth of the firm’s London office.

Metric has made a hybrid equity credit investment in the company, which owns some of the oldest wineries in Rioja Alta, a collection of wine estate in the Duero valley and the Hacienda Zorita Wine Hotel & Spa. Following the deal, Giovanni Miele, a partner, and Bjorn Tessiore, a principal, both at Metric, will join the company’s board of directors.
