PHILADELPHIA and WASHINGTON, D.C., June 12, 2017—Three Duane Morris LLP Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration partners have been named to “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” list for 2017. The list, compiled by Human Resource Executive magazine and Lawdragon, considers recent clients and cases, leadership, affiliation and association in peer-selected organizations, and noteworthy publications and speaking engagements for inclusion. Jonathan A. Segal, of the firm’s Philadelphia office, was named among “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Top 100” and Denyse Sabagh, of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, is one of 20 attorneys named to the list of “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Immigration.” Additionally, James R. Redeker is a member of the Hall of Fame, a distinction given to lawyers with 35 years of employment law experience and who are consistently recognized for excellence in counseling clients, contributing to the bar and serving as a visionary to improve workplaces.

Jonathan A. Segal is the managing principal of the Duane Morris Institute, which provides training for human resource professionals, in-house counsel, benefits administrators and managers on myriad employment, labor, benefits and immigration matters. Segal’s practice focuses on preventive counseling, training and policy development with regard to: FLSA/wage and hour compliance; sexual and other unlawful harassment; diversity-inclusion issues; social media; cybersecurity; discipline/evaluations/terminations; hiring/recruiting/retention; ADA & FMLA issues; violence in the workplace; drugs and alcohol; investigating EEO and other claims; employee handbooks; technology and privacy.

Segal is a cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Denyse Sabagh is the head of Duane Morris’ Immigration Practice Group. She has more than 30 years of experience helping corporate and non-profit clients including information technology financial institutions, healthcare, think-tanks and universities manage both inbound and outbound employment immigration. Sabagh has in-depth experience representing individual and corporate clients for all of their visa and immigration needs including E, E3, H1B and H1B1, L,O, P, and TN non-immigrant visas and PERM, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researchers, Multi-national Executives and Managers, National Interest Waivers immigrant visas and J-1 Waivers and humanitarian waivers. She also represents clients in I-9 audits, complex immigration cases, consular processing, immigration ramifications of criminal charges and litigation.

Sabagh is a magna cum laude graduate of George Mason University Law School and a graduate of the University of Maryland.

James R. Redeker represents companies in their personnel and labor relations matters. In that regard, he becomes directly involved in equal employment, wage and hour, occupational safety and health, collective bargaining, contract administration and National Labor Relations Act issues, representing companies before all enforcement agencies concerned with these matters as well as the courts. His clients include companies in the steel, chemical, manufacturing, retail, fabrication, construction, transportation, food, apparel, textile, restaurant, publishing, banking, warehouse, healthcare and hospital industries. Redeker has served as special counsel to some of the nation’s largest companies to assist in solving unusual and difficult personnel and culture change issues. In addition, he has been retained as an expert witness to testify in litigation involving employee discipline and due process in the workplace.

Redeker is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, a with honors graduate of the University of Arkansas and a cum laude graduate of the Central University of Iowa.
