PHILADELPHIA, February 22, 2022—Duane Morris LLP was named a 2021 Juristat Top U.S. Patent Firm for Technology Center 1600, ranking third on the list. Technology Center 1600 is the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s category for applications relating to the biotechnology and organic chemistry fields.

The rankings are based solely on performance metrics using Juristat’s database of more than 10 million pending, abandoned and granted patent applications. Rankings are determined by how well firms performed in three key metrics over a 12-month period. The metrics include: number of applications filed; allowance rate; and average number of office actions before allowance. The analysis was conducted in December 2021, and analyzed public applications disposed (or in the case of the first metric, applications filed) between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019. To qualify for inclusion, a firm must have filed a minimum of 100 applications in the tech center during that time period.
