Amee McKimPHILADELPHIA, February 10, 2012—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Amee McKim has joined the firm as its Director of Legal Recruitment. McKim will oversee strategic efforts to further expand the size and capabilities of the 700-lawyer international law firm. She was formerly the Director of Lawyer Recruiting and Development at Hunton & Williams LLP in its Richmond, Va., headquarters.

"We're very pleased to welcome Amee to Duane Morris, and know she will be a great fit for the firm and our culture," said John Soroko, Chairman of Duane Morris. "Her deep experience as a director of recruiting, law school administrator and practicing lawyer will no doubt prove a valuable asset as we look to 2012 and beyond. Our practice leaders, recruitment committee and I are excited to begin collaborating with Amee to strengthen our core practices and attract new talent to Duane Morris."

At Hunton & Williams, McKim managed the recruitment, training, development and retention of the firm's lawyers globally. As a member of Hunton & Williams' senior management team, her wide-ranging responsibilities included implementing strategies to recruit attorneys at all levels; administering training and diversity initiatives; working closely with practice group and office leaders to meet staffing and training needs; and fostering relationships with law schools, associations and consultants.

McKim previously served as Associate Dean of Professional Development at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law after serving as its Placement Director. She counseled students on career objectives and job search strategies; coordinated with employers regarding on-campus interviews; developed events and student development programs in the areas of professionalism, ethics and accountability; and worked to enhance employment opportunities for students and alumni. McKim also worked in private practice in Indiana for several years.

A frequent writer and lecturer on recruitment and retention issues, McKim is the author of Maximize Your Lawyer Potential: Business Etiquette and Professionalism for Law Students and Lawyers, published by Thomson West in 2008. She has been actively involved as a leader within the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) for many years, and is currently a member of its Experienced Professionals Section. From 2001 to 2002, McKim served as the organization's vice president, a member of its board of directors and the chair of both the Educational Programming and the Mark of Distinction committees. McKim is also a member of the Project Management Institute.

Prior to earning her J.D., with honors, in 1994 from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, McKim graduated in 1991 with a B.A., summa cum laude, from Otterbein College. She subsequently completed all coursework for a Ph.D. in Higher Education, Policy and Leadership (and has ABD designation) from the Ohio State University College of Education.
