Cyndie M. Chang is the managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s governing Partners Board. She advises and partners with clients to defend them in commercial disputes, enforce their rights, mitigate exposure and litigate their commercial disputes. Chang has often handled corporate litigation involving mergers and acquisitions, asset or stock sales, fraud, securities, purchase and sale agreements, business or partner breakups. She also has handled many other complex or class action disputes involving contracts, trademarks, licensing, products liability, product safety and recall, construction defect, trade secrets, California Proposition 65 and real estate. Chang also defends insurance companies with respect to environmental, asbestos, toxic tort and commercial general liability insurance coverage claims, as well as contribution, bad faith and reinsurance disputes. Her services have spanned various industries, including manufacturing, retail, fashion, consumer goods, healthcare, insurance, cannabis, education, energy, utilities, transportation, auto, telecommunications, financial services and banks. 

Woody Jameson is chair of Duane Morris’ Intellectual Property Practice Group. He practices in the area of intellectual property law and litigation with particular emphasis on patent litigation. Jameson also litigates a broad range of intellectual property disputes, including trademark and trade dress litigation, copyright litigation and false advertising disputes. Over the past 35 years, he has been lead counsel in over 100 patent cases in federal district courts, has tried numerous bench and jury trials and has successfully argued numerous cases in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jameson regularly represents Fortune 500 companies in the defense of patent litigation involving myriad technologies such as network security, fiber optics, cybersecurity, online banking transactions, wireless networking, semiconductors, medical devices, data storage, MPEG decoding, internet infrastructure and computer hardware and software. He likewise has had lead responsibility in trademark and false advertising litigation for Fortune 500 companies and anti-counterfeiting activities. 

Brian L. Johnsrud is managing partner of the firm’s Silicon Valley office and a member of the firm’s governing Partners Board. Johnsrud has represented companies in their most challenging employment law matters for more than 25 years. He defends companies in multiple forums, from agency proceedings and hearings to arbitration and litigation. Johnsrud has extensive experience with arbitration agreements, achieving more than a dozen winning arbitration awards. He defends a wide variety of claims, from whistleblower/retaliation claims to gender, age and race discrimination cases as well as executive contract and compensation matters. Johnsrud has defended many PAGA actions as well as other wage and hour claims. He is a frequent advisor on sensitive investigations and executive separations. A long-time resident of Silicon Valley, Johnsrud focuses his client representation in the technology, finance, and bioscience and life sciences industries. He has worked on employment law issues for artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, clean energy, communications, electronic gaming, hardware, internet, medical devices, mobile devices, semiconductors, software and transportation companies. He has worked with startups and mid-size companies, as well as many of the largest technology companies in the world.

J. Manly Parks represents clients nationally in the areas of antitrust law, complex business litigation, international dispute counseling, franchise and distribution law and intellectual property litigation. He also has extensive experience with election law matters. An experienced commercial litigator, trial attorney and appellate advocate, Parks has handled numerous class action, multiparty and other complex litigation matters on behalf of clients in a variety of industries including motor vehicle distribution, banking and finance, ocean shipping, duty-free customs warehouses, real estate and insurance. A member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Group, he represents and counsels manufacturers, distributors, dealers, franchisors, franchisees, financial institutions, healthcare providers, joint ventures and trade associations in matters involving all aspects of the antitrust laws, including government investigations and private claims of price fixing, dealer/distributor termination, group boycotts, tying, competitor collaboration, monopolization and attempted monopolization and price discrimination.
