LONDON, December 15, 2025―Nahi El Hachem has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Trial Practice Group in its London office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, El Hachem was an attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
“We’re pleased to further bolster our longstanding international disputes practice and enhance the depth of our London office,” said Duane Morris Chairman and CEO Matthew A. Taylor. “Looking ahead to the New Year, our strength in London will continue to grow and enhance our global platform.”
“We are excited to welcome a lawyer such as Nahi with international presence as we grow in the U.K. He joins his colleagues Duncan Speller and Justin Li, who joined us in November, establishing a strong international disputes team for our office,” said Nic Hart, managing partner of the firm’s London office. “As Duane Morris enters its third decade in London, our commitment is clear. We will continue to invest in local talent to expand our capabilities.”
“Having worked with Nahi for over a decade, I can attest to both his strength as a lawyer and his commercial acumen,” said Duncan Speller, co-chair of the International Disputes Division at Duane Morris. “Nahi’s triple qualification in New York, England and Wales and Beirut, and his experience of working with clients across the globe, is a great complement to Duane Morris’s growing international disputes offering.”
El Hachem is triple-qualified to practice in England and Wales, New York and Lebanon and frequently leverages his international experience to guide clients through complex, cross-border disputes. He practices law in Arabic, French and English. El Hachem has represented clients in various investment and commercial arbitrations under a variety of rules, such as the UNCITRAL, ICC, ICSID and LCIA rules, sited in both common and civil law jurisdictions, including Beirut, England, New York, France and Switzerland. He also has particular experience representing clients in commercial litigations in Middle Eastern jurisdictions such as Lebanon and the UAE. El Hachem has advised clients in the construction, oil and gas, and financial services industries and also has experience in M&A disputes. He has also represented clients in proceedings to enforce international arbitral awards in various jurisdictions including New York, Lebanon and France.
“I’m excited to join Duane Morris’ globally recognized international disputes practice and growing London office,” said El Hachem. “The firm’s global platform offers an opportunity to connect with the firm’s offices in the United States, Asia and Australia to offer clients full-service, global representation.”
