HOUSTON, June 7, 2023―J. Eric Holland has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group in its Houston office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Holland was a partner at Balch & Bingham LLP.

Taylor. “Additionally, we continue to expand our capabilities in Texas, which is a strategic priority for the firm. Overall, Eric is our third in-state lateral partner and we continue to be on the lookout to grow both our platform and our footprint in Texas.”

Holland’s addition comes on the heels of several recent additions to the Corporate Practice Group. In recent months, Duane Morris welcomed partner R. Charles Miller to its Washington, D.C., office and special counsel Trina L. Glass to its Newark office, enhancing the regulatory capabilities of the group. Nicholas C. Stewart also joined the firm as partner in its Baltimore office earlier this year, increasing the practice’s bench strength in fund documentation work. Duane Morris provides its private equity clients―including established and emerging fund managers, registered and new investment advisers, broker-dealers and other financial services firms—the full-range of services required to establish and operate funds, including fund formation, regulatory operations, portfolio company management and deal-making.

Holland focuses his practice on commercial lending and real estate transactions. He represents international, national and regional lenders (including direct lenders) and borrowers in domestic and cross-border secured and unsecured credit facilities and other financial transactions. Such transactions include senior and subordinated debt financings, asset-based loans, fund finance (subscription line, NAV, hybrid), acquisition financings, term loans, working capital loans, reserve-based loans and project financings. Additionally, he has also worked on matters involving the workout, restructuring and bankruptcies of several facilities.
