DALLAS, January 17, 2024―Craig M. Warner has joined Duane Morris LLP as a partner in the firm’s Trial Practice Group in its Dallas office. Prior to joining Duane Morris, Warner was a partner at Bell Nunnally & Martin LLP.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Craig to Duane Morris,” said Duane Morris Chairman and CEO Matthew A. Taylor. “His experience in both government and private practice gives him a unique skill set that translates well onto the Duane Morris platform.”
“In an environment of increased investigations and rising litigation, Craig is a welcomed addition to our practice group,” said Sharon L. Caffrey, co-chair of Duane Morris’ Trial Practice Group. “Now more than ever, our clients need counsel that will work to address their issues quickly and efficiently, with their overall business goals in mind,” added Stephen H. Sutro, co-chair of Duane Morris’ Trial Practice Group.
“We’re happy to have Craig join our Dallas office,” said Randy D. Gordon, managing partner of the firm’s Dallas office. “Since we opened the office three years ago, we have been growing steadily with top-notch attorneys like Craig, and we plan to continue that trend in 2024.”
Warner advises clients ranging from middle market companies to Fortune 500 corporations on how to manage active and potential litigation and investigations. He works side by side with clients, their executives, officers, directors and in-house counsel to formulate litigation strategies that are commensurate with the client’s overall business goals. Where appropriate, Warner knows how to settle cases quickly, and as an experienced trial lawyer, he can lead trial teams in both state and federal courts throughout Texas, North Carolina and nationwide. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, some of the nation’s largest privately held businesses and key Texas state agencies in the energy, financial services, insurance and consumer sectors. Warner also regularly represents small and midsized businesses, 501(c)(3) organizations and individuals both before and during litigation and government investigations. His experience includes complex class action defense, multimillion-dollar construction arbitrations and real estate disputes and financial industry litigation, as well as the direct recovery of amounts due for goods and services rendered by small and midsized vendors. Warner previously served as both a Naval Officer and Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, where he was lead counsel for the United States in multiple jury trials that resulted in life sentences for criminal kingpins.
“I’m excited to begin the next phase of my career at Duane Morris,” said Warner. “The firm’s global platform and collaborative culture will allow me to better serve my clients and expand my practice.”
Warner is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D., 2004) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A., with distinction, 2001).
