Philadelphia, January 6 -- Duane Morris LLP, among the one hundred largest law firms in the nation, announced that 13 of its associates have become partners in the firm. The new partners are Richard L. Cohen, Michael R. Delhagen, Marco A. Gonzalez, H. Bruce Hanson, Matthew C. Jones, Robert E. Kelly, Andrew R. McCloskey, James R. Potts, John C. Ryan, Paul D. Snitzer, Michael J. Stringer, Lauren Lonergan Taylor and James A. Weinkle.

Richard Cohen concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and securities law. He is a 1995 graduate of New York University School of Law and a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael Delhagen focuses his practice in the areas of financial products law, directors and officers liability and insurance coverage. He has acted as monitoring and coverage counsel for domestic and international professional liability insurers and reinsurers. He has advised clients concerning claims handling, coverage and exposure analysis and policy drafting. He is a former judicial clerk to the Hon. Mark B. Epstein of the New Jersey Superior Court, and is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. Michael is a 1995 graduate of Rutgers University School of Law and a graduate of Rutgers University.

Marco Gonzalez practices in the areas of complex civil and environmental litigation, internal corporate investigations and white-collar criminal defense. He defends clients in enforcement proceedings and counsels clients concerning their rights and obligations under federal statutes, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Superfund and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Marco has experience in complex litigation, conducting internal corporate investigations and defending clients in governmental investigations. A member of the firm's Puerto Rico Practice Group, Marco is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and has extensive experience representing clients on federal matters in Puerto Rico. He is a member of the New Jersey State and Essex County bar associations and is a past president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. Marco is a 1991 graduate of Rutgers School of Law - Newark and a graduate of Hunter College of the City University of New York.

Bruce Hanson handles commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across the United States involving corporate transactions and governance, licensing agreements, supply and processing contracts, real estate disputes and product liability. He also has a substantial background in matters involving insurance coverage, bad faith and insurance broker liability. Bruce has litigated and appeared in numerous state and federal courts involving a broad variety of contract and commercial disputes. He also has handled mediations and arbitrations of commercial disputes and has extensive experience in federal and state appellate courts. In addition, he is a presenter on insurance coverage and broker liability issues. Bruce is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is a member of the Business Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He serves as an investigator for the Philadelphia Bar Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention, a member of the Board of Directors of Diversified Community Services, Inc., a member of the Alumni Board of the Alumni Society of William Penn Charter School and a committeeman in Upper Dublin Township. Bruce is a 1995 honors graduate of George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the George Washington Law Review, and a graduate of Lafayette College.

Matthew Jones concentrates his practice in the areas of healthcare and corporate law. His healthcare practice is focused on counseling clients such as hospitals, health systems, physicians, practice groups, pharmaceutical companies and other service providers on various aspects of healthcare transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, the formation of joint ventures, licensure and regulatory issues and tax issues affecting both nonprofit and for-profit entities. Matt also provides advice to clients on corporate governance and general contractual matters. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations. He is a 1995 summa cum laude graduate of Temple University School of Law and a graduate of Lafayette College (B.S., chemical engineering).

Robert Kelly practices in the areas of civil litigation, trade secret and restrictive covenant injunctions, personal injury and insurance defense litigation. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations. He is a 1995 graduate of Temple University School of Law and a graduate of Temple University.

Andrew McCloskey practices in the areas of insurance coverage litigation and general litigation on a variety of civil matters. He handles all aspects of complex coverage litigation and insurance bad faith matters primarily related to asbestos, construction and environmental pollution claims. Andrew is admitted to practice in California and Nevada. He is a 1995 cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law and a graduate of the University of Connecticut.

James Potts practices in the areas of mergers and acquisition, corporate governance, securities law and general corporate law, with extensive experience in the insurance industry. In addition to providing services to a variety of clients outside of the insurance industry, James regularly counsels publicly and privately held property and casualty insurance companies and health maintenance organizations in the areas of insurance regulation, corporate law, mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, company formations, indemnity and assumption reinsurance transactions, claim administration arrangements, alternative risk transfer, securitization and securities law. He is also counsel to two workers compensation insurance rating bureaus, a life and health insurance guaranty association and a joint underwriting association on a variety of corporate, contractual and regulatory matters, and frequently advises insureds and creditors of insolvent insurance carriers on matters related to insolvency. James is a 1994 cum laude graduate of Georgetown University School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Florida where he studied business administration and finance.

John Ryan concentrates his practice in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, internal corporate investigations and commercial litigation. He has conducted investigations for a variety of public and private clients, including investigations into environmental crimes, employee embezzlement and business record falsification schemes. He has represented corporations and individuals in federal and state criminal investigations and prosecutions, and a significant portion of his practice involves defending environmental criminal matters. John's civil litigation practice focuses primarily on business disputes involving fraud, theft and related matters. John also has experience in commercial and criminal litigation in Puerto Rico, and is a member of Duane Morris' Puerto Rico Practice Group. Prior to joining Duane Morris, John was an assistant district attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where he was a member of the Special Prosecutions Bureau. As a prosecutor, he conducted grand jury investigations into healthcare fraud, employee embezzlement, consumer fraud and other white-collar crimes. John was the lead prosecutor in a significant grand jury investigation into bribery and electronic data falsification at a large New York-based investment bank. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New York, and is a member of the White Collar Crime Committee of the Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association. John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania and a member of the Board of Directors of the Chestnut Hill Community Association. He is a 1995 graduate of Northwestern University School of Law and a graduate of New York University.

Paul Snitzer practices in the area of labor and employment law. Mr. Snitzer is a 1991 graduate of Villanova University School of Law and a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Michael Stringer focuses his practice on professional liability law, representing insurers as coverage and monitoring counsel in the areas of directors and officers, investment bankers and employment practices. He is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, he is a 1996 graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law, a graduate of Rutgers Graduate School of Management, where he earned an MBA in accounting, and a graduate of Rutgers College.

Lauren Taylor practices in the areas of bankruptcy law, corporate reorganization, creditors' rights, out of court workouts and complex commercial reorganizations. She represents numerous commercial banks, insurance companies and other commercial financing institutions in secured lending, asset-based lending, leasing and credit enhancement transactions and other types of commercial transactions. Lauren has represented chapter 11 trustees, creditors' committees and secured and unsecured creditors in all facets of bankruptcy. She also has assisted creditors in enforcement of remedies, including mortgage foreclosure, execution and attachment, and through commercial litigation in federal and state court. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, she is a member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. Lauren is a 1992 graduate of the University of Delaware and a 1995 graduate of the Villanova University School of Law.

James Weinkle practices in the areas of commercial and trademark litigation. He is a Certified Circuit/Civil Mediator. James served a judicial clerkship to the Hon. Steven D. Robinson of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Criminal Division. Admitted to practice in Florida and Tennessee, and a member of the Florida and Dade County bar associations, James is a 1987 cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he was associate editor of The University of Miami Law Review, and a graduate of Denison University.
