SAN DIEGO, JANUARY 4 - Duane Morris LLP, one of the nation's 100 largest law firms, has added a new partner to its Real Estate Practice Group. Julie S. Mebane, formerly a partner at Stipanov and Mebane, has joined the Duane Morris San Diego office.

Julie S. Mebane focuses her real estate practice on commercial real estate purchases, sales, loans and secured lending, commercial, industrial and office leases, and land use issues. She advises clients on a wide variety of real property issues, as well as general business and corporate matters. She also has substantial experience in intellectual property issues, including trademark adoption and registration.
Julie has served such clients as Aviara Land Associates and Daniels Cablevision of San Diego, Adelphia Communications Corp. of Greenwood Village, CO.; and Hillman Properties, based in Pittsburgh, and has handled California transactions for Vanderbilt University of Nashville, TN.
Julie has served as General Counsel to the University of California at Los Angeles Alumni Association, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Julie received her B.A. from UCLA, and her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
