On April 26, Duane Morris associate Eric Frank of the firm's Cherry Hill, N.J. office posted a blog entry on the Duane Morris Gaming Law Blog pointing out a clerical error regarding a proposed ballot initiative to amend the Arkansas Constitution allowing the establishment of four casino gaming establishments in the state. The error involved improper allocation of tax revenue from the potential new casinos. Frank also passed the information on to attorneys working toward approval of the ballot measure, who passed it to Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel's office. As a result of Frank's efforts, McDaniel issued a new opinion correcting the error and avoiding a major legal issue.
