Duane Morris Houston Office Adds Intellectual Property Special Counsel Diana Sangalli
HOUSTON, February 16, 2011—Patent attorney Diana M. Sangalli has joined Duane Morris LLP as special counsel in its Houston office. Sangalli will be a member of the firm's growing Intellectual Property Practice Group. Publications, including Intellectual Property Today, IP Law & Business, IP Law Bulletin and IP Law360, have all ranked Duane Morris among the leading law firms handling patents, trademarks and related IP litigation. Sangalli joins Duane Morris from Trop, Pruner & Hu, P.C.
Sangalli focuses her practice on all aspects of patent portfolio management. She has worked with patents encompassing numerous technical areas, including computers, networking, software, telecommunications, general electrical and mechanical systems, medical imaging, fuel cells, semiconductors and computer memory and oil-well production technologies.
Prior to entering private law practice, Sangalli was a design engineer at two high-technology companies in California. At Sigmapower, Inc., she served as the senior design engineer and manager of engineering projects, where she helped to develop and design high-voltage power supplies for electronic countermeasure systems. At Hughes Aircraft Co., she was a member of the technical staff, and assisted in the development and design of high-voltage power supplies for military and commercial satellite applications.
Sangalli earned her J.D., magna cum laude, in 1995 from the University of Illinois College of Law. She graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1983 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
