Duane Morris Attorney Featured Speaker at Urban Land Institute Luncheon
Philadelphia, January 28 -- Marc D. Brookman, a Philadelphia-based partner of Duane Morris LLP and head of the firm's Real Estate Practice, spoke at the Young Professional Committee of the Philadelphia District Council of the Urban Land Institute at a luncheon Thursday, January 22. He discussed "The Zoning Game: The Land Development and Approval Process."
The Philadelphia District Council has about 450 members representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service. The mission of the Urban Land Institute is to provide responsible leadership in the use of land to enhance the total environment.
Marc Brookman practices in the areas of real estate development, acquisition and disposition, zoning and land use, common interest documentation, leasing and senior housing. He is the current chairman of the Smart Growth Program, former chairman of the Philadelphia District Council of the Urban Land Institute, counsel to the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia and vice president of the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation. He has served as the chair of the Housing Committee of the Urban, State and Local Government Section, and is a current member of the subcommittees on Office Leasing and Mixed-Use Projects of the Development and Financing of Condominiums Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association. Marc is also a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and a former executive committee member of the Real Property Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Marc is a founder and former president of the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. He is a graduate of Temple University School of Law and a graduate of Temple University.
