Duane Morris Partner Richard Cohen Becomes President of Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA, June 29, 2006 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that Richard Cohen, a partner in the Corporate Practice Group, has assumed the presidency of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia. Richard, who has been active with the organization for more than five years and has served as president-elect since July 2005, succeeds Maryellen Hank. He will serve in the position for a term of one year.
During his tenure, Richard plans to create programs that will better assist entrepreneurs in exploiting the vast but fragmented knowledge base of the Delaware Valley entrepreneurial community. The Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia also hopes to continue its already successful efforts to foster and publicize entrepreneurial activity in the area's universities.
"I'm honored to be leading such an important and prominent organization," said Richard. "I look forward to working with the forum's board of directors, as well as its partners and sponsors, to strengthen and expand the organization in order to help entrepreneurs in the region achieve success."
Focusing his practice on a variety of corporate legal issues, Richard represents clients in matters of securities, both public and private corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. In addition to his work with the Entrepreneurs' Forum, Richard is also a board member and past president of the Arc of Montgomery County and received that organization's President's Award in 1999.
Prior to earning his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1995, Richard graduated from the Wharton School of Business. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
