Duane Morris' Miami Office Adds Real Estate Partner Steven Klein
MIAMI, April 24, 2009 - Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that real estate lawyer Steven M. Klein has joined the firm as a partner in its Miami office, continuing Duane Morris' expansion in Florida, where the firm also has an office in Boca Raton. Klein's arrival enhances Duane Morris' Real Estate Practice Group's capabilities in the area of real estate, particularly with respect to real estate financing and secured transactions. He joins Duane Morris from Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
Klein's experience in commercial real estate includes representing institutional lenders in connection with real estate financing and secured transactions, including acquisition, construction, development, mezzanine and permanent loans. Klein also has extensive experience handling loan modifications, workouts and restructurings. Klein has also represented developers, REITs and other property owners in the purchase, sale, development and financing of commercial real estate projects.
Klein has taught as an adjunct professor of real estate transactions at the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the executive committee of the alumni association of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He earned his LL.M. in Tax from the University of Miami School of Law in 1997, his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1995, and his B.A. in Psychology from Yeshiva University in 1992.
