Ray L. Wong practices in the area of litigation with a focus on a variety of business litigation, including employment and other complex civil litigation. He has practiced for more than 30 years in courts throughout California and the United States, representing individual and corporate clients in all facets of civil litigation. Mr. Wong also has served as a mediator and arbitrator, and has testified as an expert consultant and witness in civil litigation.
Mr. Wong has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Legal Aid Society. Mr. Wong also has served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bar Association and on the San Francisco Bar Association's Judiciary Committee, having chaired the Judiciary Committee for two years. Mr. Wong has been selected to serve as an Early Neutral Evaluator for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member of the Bay Area Asian American Bar Association and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
Mr. Wong speaks extensively on a variety of litigation issues in forums throughout the United States. He is co-vice chair of the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section, and he previously served as co-chair of the Diversity Committee and co-chair of the ADR/Mediation subcommittee. Mr. Wong also served as co-vice-chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee's annual meeting in 2007 and co-chair of the 2008 meeting. In 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Mr. Wong was listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business. He also was listed in Best Lawyers in America, 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions, and was named one of Northern California's Super Lawyers in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Mr. Wong has been trained and is a certified mediator.
Admitted to practice law in California and Idaho, Mr. Wong is a 1978 graduate of Harvard Law School and a graduate of the University of Utah, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
