Duane Morris Team Represents American Energy Partners in $1.7 Billion Financing

PHILADELPHIA, October 11, 2013—A team of Duane Morris lawyers led by Richard Silfen, of the Philadelphia office, R. Timothy Bryan, of the Baltimore office, and Joel Ephross, of the Houston office, represented affiliates of American Energy Partners, LP in a private equity-backed equity investment of approximately $1.7 billion, including a subordinated debt investment of $450 million. The investment proceeds will be used to acquire and develop energy assets. American Energy Partners, LP is the newly formed energy company founded by Aubrey McClendon. Key members of the Duane Morris team included Matt Taylor, of the Philadelphia office, David Sussman, of the Newark office, Larry Hughes, Mitchel Pahl, Rosa Ertze, Lucericia Messiah, and Alexandra Berman Slavet, all of the New York office, Bruce Jurist of the Baltimore office and T. John Lin of the Houston office.
