Duane Morris Partner Michael D. Grohman Named N.Y. Office Head
NEW YORK, May 11, 2011—Duane Morris LLP has appointed partner Michael Grohman managing partner of the firm's New York office. With more than 100 attorneys, the New York office is its second largest. Grohman succeeds Robert Hasday, who served in that role for 17 years.
Grohman is also chair of Duane Morris' Wealth Planning Practice Group (formerly the Estates and Asset Planning practice) and has served as the hiring partner in the New York office since 2007. He has been instrumental in the office's recruitment and growth.
"Michael brings great energy and enthusiasm to this new leadership role, and I know he will build on the success Bob Hasday engineered," said Duane Morris Chairman John Soroko.

Grohman's practice focuses on wealth planning and tax issues for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals, including professional athletes and other celebrities. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law, Brooklyn Law School and Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
