PHILADELPHIA, October 28, 2025—The Duane Morris Women's Impact Network for Success (WINS) has honored two attorneys for their efforts to advance women in the legal profession. Philadelphia partner Christiane Schuman Campbell received the Cheryl Bryson Leadership Award, and San Diego partner Courtney L. Baird received the Margery Reed Professional Excellence Award. Campbell and Baird received the awards at Duane Morris’ annual firmwide meeting.

The Cheryl Bryson Leadership Award recognizes significant contributions to women in the profession, including professional development of women lawyers and the advancement of women lawyers in the profession. The award is named in honor of the late Cheryl Blackwell Bryson, a Duane Morris partner in Chicago who was a leader in many significant civic and community causes and was repeatedly honored throughout her career as a major pioneer, both as a woman lawyer and as a lawyer of color.

The Margery Reed Professional Excellence Award recognizes significant contributions toward creating, modeling and/or mentoring others regarding issues of work-life management. The award is named in honor of the late Margery Reed, a Duane Morris partner in Philadelphia. Reed was the recipient of numerous awards, including her admission as a fellow in the prestigious American College of Bankruptcy. She was repeatedly recognized as one of the best commercial bankruptcy lawyers in the country. A consummate partner, Reed was incomparably selfless in giving of her time and talents to assist her colleagues and mentor junior lawyers. She was a true professional in every sense, and her unwavering commitment to her clients and colleagues, the firm and the profession of law is the reason this award for professional excellence is given in her name.

Chair emeritus of WINS, Campbell is vice chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, serves as a team lead for the Duane Morris Fashion, Retail and Consumer Branded Products Industry Group, and is a member of the firm’s governing Partners Board as well as the firm’s Executive Committee. Nominated by numerous attorneys for the award, Campbell focuses on the mentorship and development of young attorneys throughout all of her leadership roles. She counsels clients on development, management and protection of their most valuable assets: their brands. Campbell has worked hand in hand with some of the world’s most recognizable brands to develop strategies for brand development, clearance, protection, monetization, expansion and enforcement. She partners with clients that range in size from startups to leading global franchises in a wide array of industries. She is a trusted advisor and partner to larger clients’ in-house legal teams and regularly called upon to step into an in-house counsel role for smaller and startup clients.

Personifying Margery Reed’s legacy of professional excellence, Baird is a relentless advocate for her clients, the firm and her colleagues and a mentor and role model for associates in the difficult task of work-life management. She is a leader in the firm and her office, and she is co-chair of the Commercial Litigation Division of the firm’s Trial Practice Group. She is also a member of the firm’s governing Partners Board. Baird serves as outside counsel to businesses handling prosecution and defense of litigation and compliance and risk management issues. She has extensive experience in complex litigation, including defense of class actions, consumer claims (Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition and False Advertising Law), business-to-business disputes, trade secret misappropriation, anti-SLAPP, products liability, contract and tort. Baird’s strategic approach, substantive experience and ability to cost-effectively optimize her clients’ business and legal objectives has led to her representation of companies across the United States and internationally.
