Kimball Ann Lane concentrates her practice in insurance and reinsurance law and complex business litigation. She is admitted to practice in New York, California and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
While actively engaged in the practice of law, Ms. Lane has dedicated herself to other areas of her profession. She was appointed a referee of the California State Bar Court and the State Bar's Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct. She has served as an arbitrator and was an instructor of labor law at a local university. In addition, she has been a speaker for the Practising Law Institute, Executive Enterprises, Inc., Continuing Education of the Bar, State Bar of California and Fulcrum Information Services, Inc.
Ms. Lane is a member of the New York State Bar Association, The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where she was active in the student mentoring program, and the New York Women's Bar Association, where she served as co-chair of its Standing Committee on Professional Ethics & Discipline, the Federal Defense Council, the International Association of Defense Council, the Defense Research Institute and AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society. Presently, she serves as a delegate to the Judicial District Convention. Ms. Lane is a member of the President's Circle and was vice-president of finance and a director of the San Diego State University Alumni Association, president and director of The Charter 100, a professional women's organization, and director of the Big Sisters League. In 1990 she was honored by the YWCA as an outstanding woman professional at its Tribute to Women in Industry. Ms. Lane is former president and member of the board of directors of the Knickerbocker Republican Club in New York and actively involved in local politics. Ms. Lane is a graduate of Loyola University of Los Angeles School of Law, where she contributed to and was associate editor of the Loyola Law Review, and attended San Diego State University.
