Brian Kelly Named Vice-Chair of Duane Morris Insurance Litigation Division
SAN FRANCISCO, April 14, 2011—Duane Morris partner Brian A. Kelly of the firm's San Francisco office has been named vice-chair of the Insurance division of the Trial Practice Group. He joins partner and division chair Max Stern, also in San Francisco, in leading the practice.

Kelly represents clients in connection with commercial, environmental and insurance matters. His practice involves counseling clients in all stages of risk, and he is frequently retained before a lawsuit is filed in an effort to manage risk. Kelly has extensive experience representing clients in arbitrations, mediations and all other types of alternative dispute resolution. He advises and represents clients in a wide range of issues and lawsuits from contractual issues and insurance coverage to toxic torts and environmental claims. For the last 25 years, Kelly has regularly been involved as lead trial and appellate counsel in many complex insurance coverage cases in state and federal courts in California and throughout the United States. Kelly also represents product manufacturers, industry groups and their associations in administrative, state and federal court proceedings relating to environmental impacts, product use restrictions, and compliance with state and federal environmental regulations—including the National Environmental Policy Act; California Environmental Quality Act; Clean Water Act; and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act—among others. He is a graduate of Loyola University School of Law and of California State University, Chico.
