Duane Morris Partner Teresa Cavenagh Chairs SeniorLAW Center's SeniorPROM
PHILADELPHIA, April 23, 2012—Duane Morris LLP partner Teresa Cavenagh will serve as the event chair for SeniorLAW Center's upcoming SeniorPROM, of which the law firm is a sponsor. SeniorLAW Center, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit organization, works to improve the lives of older Pennsylvanians and to protect their rights through representation, education and advocacy. SeniorPROM, the organization's annual fundraiser, benefits the center and helps raise awareness of its work on behalf of more than 8,000 Pennsylvania seniors each year.
The SeniorPROM is open to all ages and will take place on Friday, May 4, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Westin Philadelphia. The evening will feature dinner, dancing, cocktails and a silent auction, accompanied by live music, an inspiring video and an awards program. Funds raised from the event will help support the work of SeniorLAW Center against elder abuse, financial exploitation, fraud and homelessness, as well as to support grandparents raising grandchildren and many other issues. In addition to Cavenagh's role as event chair of the SeniorPROM, she is secretary of SeniorLAW Center's board of directors and is a volunteer attorney for the Pennsylvania SeniorLAW HelpLine, providing legal advice and information to seniors throughout the state. At Duane Morris, Cavenagh practices in the areas of commercial, class action, fraud, RICO and qui tam litigation. She has often represented entities in the hospitality, healthcare and government contracting industries. She is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, Drexel University and Villanova University.
