Duane Morris Washington, D.C. Office Adds Immigration Partner John L'Esperance
Washington, D.C., August 2, 2010—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that John L'Esperance has joined the firm's Employment, Labor, Benefits and Immigration Practice Group as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. L'Esperance significantly adds to the firm's global business-immigration practice. Chambers USA ranked Duane Morris' Immigration Practice Group as the top-ranked practice in Washington, D.C. The firm's national practice also serves clients out of the firm's Philadelphia, San Diego and San Francisco offices. L'Esperance joins Duane Morris from Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP.
L'Esperance's global practice focuses on the areas of immigration and nationality law. He provides U.S. and global companies with a full range of immigration and naturalization legal services, including labor certification applications, immigrant visa petitions, and applications to adjust status or for consular processing, as well as nonimmigrant visa petitions for new-hire employees, intracompany transferees and specialty occupations. L'Esperance's clients include technology companies, including one of the world's leading developers and providers of information-infrastructure technology. He also represents foundations, universities, hospitals and healthcare institutions, including the Devereux Foundation.
L'Esperance earned his J.D. from District of Columbia School of Law (formerly Antioch School of Law) and attended the Tulane University School of Law Institute of European Legal Studies in Paris. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Castleton State College in Vermont. L'Esperance is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the District of Columbia Bar and the Florida Bar.
