Ken ArgentieriPITTSBURGH, June 26, 2013—Duane Morris LLP has appointed Kenneth M. Argentieri as the new managing partner of its Pittsburgh office. Argentieri succeeds partner George Medved, who served in that role since the office's launch in 2003. The firm's Pittsburgh office serves domestic and international clients in construction, products liability, commercial and bankruptcy litigation, as well as a wide range of corporate legal matters.

"Since joining us in 2007, Ken has played an increasingly substantial part in shaping the Pittsburgh office's strategic focus and has proven himself to be a talented and market-savvy lawyer," said Duane Morris Chairman and CEO John Soroko. "Ken is one of our key litigation partners, and has served as the vice-chair of the Products Liability and Toxic Torts division of our Trial Practice Group since 2011. I know he will build upon the success that George Medved engineered."

"I am honored to be entrusted with leadership of the Pittsburgh office," said Argentieri. "George Medved has worked diligently to build our office's presence and diversify our practice offerings since its founding a decade ago. I look forward to working closely with my fellow Pittsburgh attorneys and with firm leadership to continue our growth and further improve our service to clients in the region and globally."

As a trial attorney for more than 25 years, Argentieri has represented individual and corporate clients in complex litigation, including products liability, defamation, toxic tort, environmental, securities, class action and commercial law. He has handled significant appeals in the federal circuit courts and the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts. Argentieri has served as national coordinating counsel and as regional counsel for clients in toxic tort matters. He has also served as a mediator to help resolve contract and securities disputes.

Argentieri is active in the Pittsburgh legal community and in statewide legal organizations. In 2009, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court appointed him to its Continuing Legal Education Board and subsequently designated him chair of the board in 2012. He has held several officer positions on the board of trustees of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and will become president of the organization next month. In addition, Argentieri is a past president of the Neighborhood Legal Services Association, a private nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance to the poor in the Pittsburgh area, and served as co-chair of its Equal Justice Campaign from 2009 to 2012. He is also an active member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and the Product Liability Advisory Council.

A 1981 graduate of Harvard Law School, Argentieri earned his A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University in 1977.
