Duane Morris Partner Ray Wong Elected to Membership in Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel
SAN FRANCISCO, March 20, 2009 - Duane Morris is pleased to announce that Ray Wong, a partner in the Trial Practice Group in the firm's San Francisco and Los Angeles offices, has been chosen for membership in the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). Membership to this distinguished business defense industry organization is selective, and Wong's induction acknowledges his professional achievements over 30 years in the litigation and defense bars.
The FDCC promotes educational programs and publications to defense lawyers and comprises attorneys who practice in the defense of industries in products liability, intellectual property, commercial and other business litigation.
Wong practices in the area of litigation with a focus on a variety of business litigation, including employment and other complex civil litigation representing individual and corporate clients across the country. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the San Francisco Legal Aid Society, the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Bar Association and on the San Francisco Bar Association's Judiciary Committee, having chaired the Judiciary Committee for two years. He also has been selected to serve as an Early Neutral Evaluator for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
Wong is a member of the Bay Area Asian American Bar Association and is co-chair of the Diversity Committee and served as a co-chair of the ADR/Mediation subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee of the Litigation Section. He also served as co-vice-chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee's annual meeting in 2007 and co-chair of the 2008 meeting.
Admitted to practice law in California and Idaho, Wong is a 1978 graduate of Harvard Law School and a graduate of the University of Utah, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
