PHILADELPHIA, July 5, 2022—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has promoted 11 associates to special counsel. These newly named special counsel are:

Natalie F. (Hrubos) Bare represents and counsels management clients in all aspects of labor and employment law, with extensive experience defending companies in wage and hour class and collective actions and other complex litigation matters. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University (B.A., 2006) and Temple University’s Beasley School of Law (J.D., 2009), where she was editor-in-chief of the Temple Political & Civil Rights Law Review.

Maria Cáceres-Boneau has extensive experience counseling employers on the laws governing the workplace, litigating employment disputes, providing employee trainings, investigating matters, drafting agreements and workplace policies and advising on business acquisitions across a broad range of industries. She is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D.), Hunter College (M.S.) and Yale University (B.A.).

James J. Halligan has served as trial counsel in numerous complex state and federal commercial cases across the United States involving a variety of subject matter, including intellectual property litigation, contracts, covenants not to compete/restrictive covenants, trade secrets, business torts, healthcare payment disputes, banking and financial litigation, manufacturer-distributor disputes, products liability and real estate disputes and transactions. He is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law (J.D., 2010), where he was research and articles editor for The Temple Journal of Science, Technology and Environmental Law, and the Pennsylvania State University (B.A., with highest distinction, 2006).

T. John Lin practices in the area of corporate law with a focus on M&A, corporate finance, securities regulation and capital markets. His experience includes public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, representation of companies in the purchase and sale of assets and securities, securities law compliance and corporate governance matters. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D., 2002) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1998).

Katharyn I. Christian McGee co-leads the firmwide Pro Bono Program as Duane Morris’ pro bono counsel, managing relationships with legal service, nonprofit and charitable organizations as well as pro bono collaborations with the firm’s billable clients. She also maintains a substantive practice focused on aiding survivors of violence and torture in immigration, military and veterans benefits, anti-trafficking, family law and reproductive health matters. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2008) where she obtained a certificate in public interest law and was editor-in-chief of The Journal of the Legal Profession. She also is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2005), where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

David T. McTaggart is a commercial litigator with trial and appellate experience in courts throughout the United States and before the AAA. He has successfully represented individuals and an array of businesses including film production companies, financial institutions, hospitals, insurance companies, professional sports leagues, real estate developers, record labels and telecommunications providers. He is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D., 2001), where he was notes development editor for the New York University Law Review, and Vanderbilt University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1998).

Alanna B. Newman practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, investigations and intellectual property disputes, including matters involving trademark and copyright. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2012), where she served as an articles editor for the Journal of Constitutional Law, and Cornell University (B.S., summa cum laude, 2009).

Sean Patterson practices in the area of complex litigation, including toxic tort and general liability claims. He also represents and defends public agencies in state and federal court, judicial officers and state officials in civil rights actions involving allegations of violation of constitutionally protected rights (e.g., discrimination/denial of services, denial of due process). Patterson is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law (J.D., 2004) and the University of Florida (B.A., 1999, and M.Ed., 2001).

Steven J. Sweeney concentrates his practice in M&A, bank and financial institution regulatory matters, technology law, corporate finance, corporate governance, technology law, bank regulatory matters, and loan and credit transactions. He has extensive experience in a broad range of corporate transactions, with a focus on banking and financial institutions. He also has extensive experience representing clients in the technology and media industries, as well as healthcare, consumer products and real estate. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law (J.D., 1996), the University of Chicago (M.A., 1991) and Loyola Marymount University (B.S., 1986).

Daniel Tarr focuses on patent procurement and prosecution, enforcement and licensing, ​post-grant review, and patent litigation, including domestic and international patent portfolio management, with diverse technical experience in areas such as ​artificial intelligence, medical devices, medical imaging devices, global positioning systems, communication systems, semiconductor devices and manufacturing, acoustic systems, guided wave systems, electronics, smart cards, software and business methods, ​distributed ledgers and housewares. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D., ​summa cum laude, 2012), where he was an editorial board member for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and was named to the Order of the Coif. He is also a graduate of Temple University (B.S., 2009).

Bradley Wasser practices as a litigator with a focus on health care and pharmacy advocacy, including experience providing a wide range of legal, regulatory and business advice for national associations of healthcare providers, individual healthcare providers and pharmacies. He is a member of the Duane Morris Pharmacy Litigation Group, in which he represents retail, mail, compounding, long-term care and specialty pharmacies in disputes with insurance companies and pharmacy benefit managers. He has assisted pharmacies in overturning provider network terminations, successfully challenged audit results, defended numerous pharmacies in connection with investigations by state boards of pharmacy, attorney general offices, United States attorney's offices and multiple other state and federal government agencies. He is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2010) and the University of Delaware (B.A., 2003).
