PHILADELPHIA, September 28, 2023—Duane Morris LLP is pleased to announce that it has promoted nine associates to special counsel. These newly named special counsel are:

Cameron J. Asby focuses his practice on representing plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of complex commercial, real estate, construction and intellectual property litigation. His practice routinely involves matters concerning noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, trade secrets, unfair competition, partnership/investor disputes, construction defects, complex breach of contract claims, health care services, franchisor/franchisee disputes, fraud, business torts and shareholder oppression. Asby is a graduate of Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2011) and Texas A&M University (B.A., 2005).

Peggy S. Chen practices in intellectual property law and litigation with a primary focus on copyright, trademark and trade dress litigation and complex commercial litigation. She has also advised clients on data protection and privacy issues, including compliance with CCPA, GDPR and COPPA, and technology licensing agreements and issues. Chen has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including fraud, RICO, contract and business tort matters. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2003), where she was articles editor of the Harvard International Law Journal, and Harvard University (B.A., cum laude, 1999).

Kelly A. Dabek practices in the areas of securities law, corporate finance and general corporate law. She has experience representing underwriters and public companies in public and private equity financings, including at-the-market offerings, in a variety of industry sectors, including pharmaceutical, life sciences, biotechnology, banking, energy, minerals and mining, real estate (including REITs) and technology. Dabek is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2013) and the College of New Jersey (B.A., cum laude, 2009).

Xiu Ming “Lily” Gao focuses her practice in community development finance, tax credit investing, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She represents investors, lenders, community development entities and developers nationally in projects developed with the federal New Markets Tax Credit Program. She has experience representing lenders and borrowers in single-lender and syndicated commercial finance transactions. Gao also has experience representing private companies on a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers, stock and asset sales, restructurings and general corporate issues. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 2013) and the Macaulay Honors College at the City College of New York (B.A., summa cum laude, 2010), where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Jennifer O’Sullivan practices in the area of employment and labor law. She also has experience in complex products liability, toxic tort and commercial litigation for companies and other entities in industries as widely varied as energy, defense, consumer products, chemicals and pharmaceuticals. O’Sullivan is a graduate of the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (J.D., 1984), and the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., 1981).

Alison T. Rosenblum regularly advises owners, operators and managers of seniors housing communities on regulatory and licensing matters and the drafting of transaction documents in connection with multistate transactions. She also counsels her clients on regulatory issues that arise in the context of day-to-day operations. In addition to her seniors housing-related work, Rosenblum advises a variety of health care providers including hospitals, physician groups, pharmacies and health care professionals on a wide range of legal topics including state and federal regulatory compliance matters, clinical research-related issues, HIPAA privacy concern concerns, fraud and abuse, reimbursement and licensure matters and transactions. She also advises cannabis companies on state permit-related matters. Rosenblum is a graduate of Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2014), where she was line editor of the Journal of Law and Technology, and Yale University (B.A., 2007).

Sajid Saleem practices in intellectual property law and litigation with a primary focus on patent litigation in district courts, the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has represented clients in litigation involving technologies such as wireless networking, fiber optic communications, wireless chipsets, commercial lighting, power electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, computer hardware and software, and consumer technology products. His clients have spanned a range of industries, including telecommunications, networking, computer hardware, semiconductors, manufacturing, materials and medical devices. Saleem has also advised a number of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and private equity firms, on technology-related transactional matters. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2013), where he was articles editor of the Georgia Law Review and elected to the Order of the Coif, and the Georgia Institute of Technology (B.S., high honors, 2004).

Melissa Sobel Snyder focuses her practice in health care regulatory compliance and health IT matters, including HIPAA and state privacy laws, federal and state licensing and certification, telemedicine matters and across-the-board regulatory compliance. She advises health care providers, including hospitals, outpatient providers, long-term care facilities and physicians, as well as subcontractors and vendors providing services to the health care industry and health care IT companies. Snyder is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2009), where she was associate editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (Master of Bioethics, 2009) and Tufts University (B.A., magna cum laude, 2004).

Joshua E. Steinberg counsels high-net-worth individuals and families on both domestic and international estate and tax planning, including clients dealing with cross-border issues. He also represents both fiduciaries and beneficiaries on all aspects of estate and trust administration. Steinberg is a graduate of New York University School of Law (LL.M., taxation, 2015), Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2013), where he was associate editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal, and Columbia University (B.A., 2008).
